Storyline of The Evil Within Part #2

Let's continue the tale of The Evil Within, which was serialized before. So, without wasting anymore time, let's dive right into the story.

After Sebastian has a bad dream about the villagers burning him, he wakes up in front of a photo of Victoriano's family. While he's walking in the hall of a Save Heaven patient, the room changes into a route to the Victoriano house. When he enters the house, Doctor Marcelo takes Leslie to a room behind a metal door. There, Sebastian does several puzzles that later make him remember Ruben Victoriano, the son of the Victoriano family. The flashback shows how Doctor Macrelo asked Ruben to do research, but he was uninterested. The next flashback has Ruben talking to his deceased parents. Ruben's father kept him locked in a room so that others wouldn't see him, which made him despise his parents. The third flashback depicts Doctor Marcelo collecting donations for the Beacon Mental Hospital and inquiring about Ruben's parents. This immediately makes Ruben upset and says that his parents no longer exist. Doctor Marcelo realizes that Victoriano's family will no longer donate and threatens to withhold materials from Ruben's research. This suggests that Ruben is Ruvik's younger self. In the fourth flashback, Ruben conducts an experiment using a pig's head and ends up becoming a blood grain that merges into a monster that chases Sebastian. Ruben and his older sister Laura played in a barn. Villagers were angry with the Victoriano family for purchasing their land, so they burned down the barn despite hearing children inside. Laura died saving Ruben from the fire.

In short, Sebastian goes back to the Victoriano house and sees Ruben's memory of experimenting on people and decides that it's wrong. Then, he goes back to Save Heaven and talks to a patient who tells him that Ruvik is motivated by revenge. After that, Sebastian fights a Trauma monster in the next area. While walking down a hall, Amalgam Alpha appears and takes Sebastian to the Asylum where Laura is. Sebastian beat Laura, then took the elevator to the main room of the Victoriano family. He opened the door where Doctor Marcelo and Leslie entered before and saw Doctor Marcelo about to experiment on Leslie. Suddenly, Amalgam Alpha appeared and killed Doctor Marcelo. Sebastian went to Save Heaven and talked to the patient in the next room. The patient said Sebastian had to go to Beacon Mental Hospital before Ruvik. In the end Sebastian defeated Amalgam Alpha and saved the day.

Sebastian used an elevator to the surface, but it unexpectedly plunged into the water. Once he escaped, he found Crimson City in ruin while Beacon Mental Hospital remained intact. Along the way, he encountered monsters called Dopplegangers that resembled Ruvik, as well as a fish monster named Shigyo. In the end, he reunited with Kidman with plans to locate Joseph and Leslie. Sebastian was in a building when suddenly something enters his head, causing him to turn temporarily haunted and try to attack Kidman. Kidman shoots Sebastian unconscious and locks him in a room. On one side of the room, Sebastian finds Leslie who runs away when he tries to open the door. Long story short, Sebastian meets Joseph, and on a bus ride, Kidman joins them, running the bus to escape from a monster named Heresy. In the end, they defeat the monster by crashing it into the roof of the tunnel. During their trip, Joseph thought that the Light House at Beacon Mental Hospital always remained in the same position despite the other areas around it shifting. The group decided to visit Beacon Mental Hospital, but unfortunately, Joseph got shot suddenly, and they had to search for medical supplies to treat his wound. While they were on their way, they encountered Ruvik, who suddenly appeared and hurled the bus into the apartment. Joseph and Sebastian were tossed into the apartment, while Kidman, who remained on the bus, plummeted with it.

While looking for another way out, Sebastian and Joseph were separated when the elevator they were riding in suddenly fell. While in the kitchen, Sebastian saw Joseph being chased by The Keeper and managed to escape using the food elevator. The Keeper's attention then shifts to Sebastian, who eventually survives by escaping on the food elevator that Joseph used earlier. In the playground, Kidman is seen trying to kill Leslie, but is stopped by Sebastian. Kidman explains that Ruvik is after Leslie. As Leslie is about to be secured by Joseph, he screams, causing the area to shake and shift as Sebastian falls into the subway station. While there, Sebastian encountered a monster named Quell and managed to kill it. Long story short, Sebastian arrived at the train car, got a warning from Ruvik and Ruvik dropped the train car and Sebastian moved into a hallway that led him to the STEM machine. There is a flashback of Marcelo's doctor cornering Ruvik and Ruvik saying that Marcelo always publishes his research not under Ruvik's name but under Marcelo's name. Long story short, Sebastian has a nightmare where there is Kidman and he shoots himself lying on the STEM machine.

Sebastian woke up in Safe Heaven and discovered that sister Tatiana was gone. He later encountered Lestie, who pointed him toward the hospital. Unfortunately, they became separated due to the movement of the building. Sebastian found himself on the streets of Crimson City, near Beacon Mental Hospital. He tracked Leslie's shadow, which always eluded him but gradually brought him closer to the hospital. After Sebastian went into the basement, he saw Leslie go into the hospital's second building. While in a patient's room, Sebastian overheard a patient say that Ruvik's eyes were extremely hazardous. In the hospital hallway, Sebastian encountered Ruvik, who immediately strangled him. By accident, Sebastian saw Ruvik's eyes and was transported to Ruvik's artificial arena. Long story short, Sebastian reached the top floor of the hospital's second building. While there, he saw himself lying on the STEM device. Leslie arrived in the midst of being pursued by Kidman, who instructed Sebastian to eliminate her before the situation worsened. Suddenly they all moved to the dimension where Ruvik was. Leslie was melted by Ruvik and then inserted into the large brain that existed there.

Sebastian was thrown out of the building and landed on a giant brain. At that moment, Ruvik transformed into Amalgam and attacked Sebastian. To make a long story short, Sebastian shot Amalgam's arm with a machine gun from a military car and then shot Amalgam with an RPG. As Amalgam was about to eat Sebastian, he shot Ruvik in Amalgam's mouth. This caused Amalgam to be destroyed and Sebastian to awaken from the bathtub. He then destroyed the core of the STEM machine, which was Ruvik's brain. Sebastian awoke in the bathtub with Kidman beside him, checking his heartbeat before turning off the monitor and instructing him to play dead. To make a story short, Sebastian emerged from the STEM machine to find Connelly and Marcelo deceased, and Leslie's place was empty. In the end Sebastian managed to get out of Beacon Mental Hospital and saw Leslie coming out of the front gate of the hospital without being noticed by the police officers there. When Sebastian got distracted by the humming noise, Leslie suddenly vanished.
