This promotion allows Steam users to access the game and play up to level 20, or approximately eight hours of gameplay. Diablo 4, initially released on Blizzard's Battle.net in June, has become extremely popular with over 10 million players.

The free trial comes alongside a 40% discount available only during the Steam Autumn Sale, which ends on the same day, and is likely intended enticing players to purchase the game.

Steam is also giving away free DLC The Sims 4 My First Pet Stuff: Free to keep when you get it before 10 Jan, 2024.
